RACE ANNOUNCER

We are thrilled to welcome back Julie Moss, Ironman Hall of Fame triathlete, as our Shamrock Run Race Announcer!

For more than 36 years, Julie Moss has been synonymous with excellence and performance, both as an Ironman and USA Triathlon Hall of Famer, and as a public speaker with a message of empowerment. From her stunning crawl across the finish line at the 1982 Ironman World Championship — the most famous moment in triathlon’s 40-year history, viewed by millions on Wide World of Sports — to her third-place age-group finish at the 2018 Ironman, Julie has delighted and inspired millions throughout the world.

Top of the morning to you!

I'm Julie Moss, best known as the triathlete who crawled to the finish of the 1982 IRONMAN. I was the red-headed, freckled-face girl next door who put the sport of triathlon on the map 40 years ago. Although I'm only a fraction Irish, my red hair and freckles have allowed me to pass as Irish all my life. I'll bring my "look of the Irish" to San Clemente as the race announcer for the Annual SCBDA Shamrock Run.

I'm thrilled to be joining you as we all gather to race, run, and walk to celebrate fitness, health, and Irish culture along San Clemente's historic downtown, pier and beach trails in one of the most beautiful beaches in Orange County. Sign up early and see you in San Clemente!

May the luck of the Irish be with you,

Julie Moss
